I AM A NEW BELIEVER

Congratulations!! Welcome (back) to Christ.

Understanding Salvation.

John 3:3 tells us “Except you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:6-7 continues “Humans can reproduce only human life but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven, hence My Word “You must be born again.”

Romans 3: 23 explains that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and the outcome is spiritual death.

How did we get here?

Romans 5: 12-18 explains that through the sin of one man (Adam) -Genesis 3, every human became condemned. This created a divide between humans and God. The outcome was severance of fellowship with God, man’s loss of the glory of God and spiritual death. Yet God still loved the world and sought to reconcile us to Himself.

The solution

It came as explained in Romans 5:19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one man’s obedience many will be made righteous”. The only one who qualified was God’s Son, Jesus who was sent from heaven by God, into the world, through a virgin birth conceived by the Holy Ghost. This insulated Him from sin. The assignment of Jesus, simply put, was to save the world from dying for the sin of Adam, by dying, Himself, on the cross. John 3:16 explains “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son (Jesus) that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”. Verse 18 concludes “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned but whoever does not believe in Him is condemned already”.

Romans 10:9 tells us “If you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”.

Hence the need to pray the prayer of salvation — “Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. I repent of my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I confess You with my mouth and believe in my heart that You died for my sins, was crucified, buried and that on the third day you rose again from the dead and now sit at the right hand of God The Father interceding for me. I receive your love and sacrifice and invite you into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving my soul”.
